Oil-rubbed bronze changes the character of the Bravat considerably, allowing automatic operation to fit interiors where ordinary chrome sensor hardware would look too institutional. The real specification work is less glamorous: detection needs to remain stable around the selected sink, electrical components must stay accessible, and the finish should be cleaned without aggressive chemicals. Those are manageable requirements for facilities staff. For restaurants, boutique hotels, and traditional commercial interiors, combining hands-free functionality with a warmer architectural finish is a genuinely useful distinction.

Lifecycle Costs

Our procurement decision was based on projected lifecycle cost rather than initial purchase price. After more than a year of continuous operation, maintenance expenses have remained below forecast because the faucet has required only preventive servicing, supporting a lower total cost of ownership for the facility.

Activation Errors Rare

Modernizing commercial restroom environments with motion-sensor systems frequently reveals recurring concerns involving false activations, delayed shutoff timing, and inconsistent dispensing performance. After installing the Bravat Motion Sensor System between 2021 and 2025, operational consistency improved significantly compared with previous touchless fixtures maintained in similar environments. Earlier units frequently generated maintenance requests because of unstable sensor detection and dispensing irregularities, whereas this system maintained reliable activation timing and predictable performance throughout continuous daily operation. Facility managers also reported fewer activation-related complaints and stronger operational uptime through 2026.

After installing this unit across multiple restrooms, the performance stood out immediately. The BathSelect Bravat Bronze Set (Model BS18510ORB) delivered stable results.
As a healthcare planner, I focused heavily on sensor accuracy and long-term durability. This unit uses a well-tuned infrared system that avoids false activation while maintaining quick response. The deck-mounted configuration is executed with solid brass construction, giving it structural reliability even in high-use environments.
BathSelect’s support team was responsive and technically helpful during setup and adjustments. Overall, the unit meets commercial expectations for reliability, hygiene, and lifecycle performance.

Bravat Touchless Automatic Commercial Sensor Faucet & Automatic Foam Soap Dispenser In Dark Oil Rubbed Bronze fit well into a high-traffic restroom rollout because the project needed a touchless fixture that looked deliberate and performed consistently. The dark oil rubbed bronze look adds design value without sacrificing practicality, and the automatic response helps reduce mess and inconsistent operation. The coordinated faucet-and-dispenser setup also improves workflow at the basin and keeps the handwashing zone more cohesive. Overall, it helps the station look more intentional while staying practical for heavy use.
